We’re excited to showcase our lightboxes as a part of IKEA’s new kitchen project!
Using lightboxes for simple and elegant advertising and wayfinding is the way to go. With our wall mounted, dimmable, LED lightboxes we’re able to compliment IKEA’s home-style environment with their business savy marketing strategies.
Ottawa Canada; The Pilot of the Kitchen Project
The Ottawa location was the first to pilot these dimmable lightboxes in their store, and now other IKEA’s across Canada are following suit.
They wanted bright, interesting, stable advertising and wayfinding points that don’t harshly compete with their home style environment, but rather compliment it.
With the use of our dimmable lightboxes they’re able to customize the brightness to set the mood for each individual location, as each space is carefully thought out and designed to mimic real life kitchens their clients might create.
All the lightboxes are wall mounted with whiter coloured LEDs, dimming them slightly brings out the rest of the space perfectly. Alongside the simple nordic graphics IKEA is known for.

Modular and Adaptive Systems
With our SEG lightbox system IKEA is able to expand their wayfinding and advertising for their new kitchen project launching across Canada. Here are some ways we’ve helped customize them.
Dimmable
Our lightboxes are known for being bright and providing even lighting throughout the graphic. IKEA’s showrooms are designed to reflect the average homey lighting customers see day to day so they can immerse themselves in their products. Therein lies a challenge of adding in an advertisement that doesn’t compete too much with the scene, hence we added a dimmable option to the lightbox so they may adjust it as they see fit.
Accommodating
No product should be “one-size-fits-all,” and neither are our lightboxes. Customizing the size, shape, lights and more can be achieved with our expertise. With this project various stores had slight adjustments in width and height, but the core aesthetic was white powder coated frames with slim but sturdy frames.
